27, 2008 - Crew `00 WINS Cal Cup!
- In
their first tournament appearance, Crew brought the effort that it took
to win it all- and they did. The San Juan Soccer Club hosted the
California Cup this past weekend, and the Crew played as if they have
been playing in this tournament for years. Beginning Saturday, they
dominated Ajax United in the first match with a score of 5-0. Just a few
short hours later, the team took on Lobos FC with another victory- Crew
3, Lobos 1. The wins, including the number of goals scored,
automatically placed the Crew into the Finals on the following day.
Crew met Elk Grove in the Championship round, and played with great
effort to bring another win with a final score of 2-0. According to
Coach Rino Chimienti, "The boys played hard, it was very hot and they
really stepped it up in the final match."
Well done Crew `00 & Coaches Rino and Austin!

Crew 97 Travels to Santa Cruz for Championship - EDU Crew 97 spent the weekend cruising to the championships
in Santa Cruz. Splitting into two teams for the annual Pro-Am
Beach Soccer Tournament, EDU Crew 97 went undefeated through
both U12 brackets and claimed victories in both semi-final games
to meet for the championship. The all El Dorado United Crew 97
final was without a doubt the most exciting and competitive game
of the weekend. Showcasing incredible heart, determination and
some awesome scoring skills the teams battled back and forth to
the finish ending in a 5-5 draw after overtime. The crowd was in
awe of the way these boys played and the entertainment they
provided with their soccer skills. It was a bests case scenario
for the team with the tournament director awarding coach Anthony Chimienti the championship trophy and all of the players from
both teams first place medals. Congratulations boys!

June 23, 2008 - Crew 96 Advances to the Super Group Semi-Finals
- After tying the Mustang Hotspurs 1-1 and beating Modesto Ajax United
FC 7-0 and Ceres Earthquake Thunder 3-0, Crew 96 U13 Boys advanced to
the semi-finals. In a hard fought game, they lost to Milan FC in a PK
shootout (the 5th kick) after tying the game 2-2, with neither team
scoring in the two 10 minutes overtimes. Milan FC went on to win the US
Regional Championship against Santa Clara Sporting 95. Crew 96 is
looking forward to their next tournament on July 8th – 10th at Placer.

June 16, 2008 - The Eclipse '94 (U15G) started off their new season well in their
first tournament of the summer in Reno, Nevada. They welcomed back
center-mid Heather Herb and added a spark to the defense with sweeper
Kelly Smit, from Seattle, Washington, who recently joined the team. In
their bracket, they beat both teams to move onto the semi-finals. First,
they shut out Reno-Sparks United Crush '94 with a 5-0 score. In the
second game, the Eclipse battled the tough Vacaville Thunderbirds in a
very physical game. The game ended with a PK round and resulting in a a
win for the Eclipse, putting them into the semi-finals the next day. At
the end of the tournament Eclipse '94 took 3rd place in their age group.

`95 U14 girls team will be holding a fundraiser at Islands Restaurant in
Folsom on Monday July 14. The fundraiser begins at 5pm and goes until
closing. When you visit them please provide the the flyer or say they
are with Eclipse `95. The team will receive a portion of the that bill.

Save the Date: JUNE 12th Fundraiser
- Strings restaurant of Folsom will be
supporting the Crew '00 team with a fundraising event (lunch/ dinner)
with a portion of the proceeds going entirely to the Crew '00 team. (Thanks
to Brian Johnson for his generosity!) Ali Walters (mother of
Jake) is the contact for this event, and has indicated she will be
distributing flyers at Tuesday's practice. Go Crew! Eat Pasta!

WPSL “PRIDE” Opening Game
-WPSL "PRIDE" had their opening game this past weekend and topped it
off with a WIN over Monterey Blues. Thanks to the El Dorado United U9
and U10 girls teams for being the ball girls of the game. They did an
outstanding job in keeping the game flowing by retrieving out of play
balls. At half time they got to play a short scrimmage and after the
game they got to get their picture taken with the team. El Dorado United
also has several players playing on the team of: "Jessica Parker",
"Sydney Douglas", "Jessica Domenichelli", "Amanda Magrew", "Kim
Hernandez", "Gabrielle Sanders", "Geneve Dromensk".

CREW 99 Play Date
-
The CREW 99 participated in its second play date which was hosted by
the Mustang Soccer Club. The U-10 Boys team braved the 90 degree-plus
heat while extending their winning streak to six wins against zero
losses.

Championship Round off to a good start for Crew 96
- On Saturday, May 17th Crew 96 played their first
game of the Championship round against Placer Gold at Del Oro. The level
of intensity was extreme, both on the field and on the sidelines as
every Crew player gave it their all in a tough fought contest that
resulted in a 2-1 Crew ’96 victory.

Crew 94 England Tour
- The
El Dorado United U14B team played three games
against some tough England teams. All three
games were victorious with 5-0, 3-0 and a 4-3
wins. They were able to watch teams practice and
play in games. The trip will be always
remembered by the players.
