The Tour Approaches!
We are now just a week away from taking Crew 94
'across the pond' on our soccer tour of England. It
will be a trip jam-packed with soccer from start to
finish which is great for our players and something
they are very much looking forward to. The boys will
get a chance to play numerous games against English
opposition which will prove a great learning
experience for the boys, as they will test
themselves against a different caliber of
opposition, style of soccer and in a different
climate! They will be introduced to a culture of
soccer that is completely new to them. In addition
to playing, the team will also get a chance to watch
lots of professional soccer and learn what it's like
to be in and amongst a loud and passionate crowd of
supporters. We hope that these experiences will give
the players the 'buzz' of watching live soccer and
ignite in them a desire to watch and follow soccer
more closely as this will undoubtedly help with
their own development.
To follow Crew 94 on tour , log into
www.myspace.com/educrew94 . Here, pictures, game
reports and personal blogs will be updated daily.
Catch up with the team as they take on the English
in a series of friendly scrimmages leading up
to the Mitre Cup tournament on the last weekend of
the tour (March 22nd/23rd). Also log in to see
pictures from each of the professional stadiums we
visit, including the new England National team
stadium Wembley. Away from the soccer fields, look
out for pictures from our 'sightseeing' days in
London for those interested in a little
British history!
We look forward to sharing our experiences with you,
Regards,
Joe Champion
