Meeting called to order at 7:25 PM at the Dennys in Cameron Park.

The minutes from the last meeting were reviewed and approved.

TREASURER

·         The monthly treasurer report was given.

MANAGER’S REPORT:

·         Henry reported that the league meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, 2/19.

·         Tom and Henry attended the CYSA AGM in Fresno.  He gathered a lot of information regarding fundraising that he would like to discuss once tryouts are completed.  Would like to consider a special committee forming to focus on fundraising.

·         The board is working on filling the coaching directory position.  More information will be provided when decisions are final.

REGISTRAR

·          Nothing to report.

COACHING COORDINATOR

·         Nothing to report.

GIRL’S V.P.

·         Tom indicated that he would like to become the liaison between the new team managers and the board.  There was also discussion regarding the creation of a manager’s binder which would contain useful information such as tournament registration, player transfers, PR90’s and so forth.

·         It was suggested that all forms that used by coaches and managers be available to download via the website.  Forms such as player evaluations, coaching evaluations and monthly coaching reports were suggested.

WINTER V.P.

·         Nothing to report.

BOY’s V.P.

·         Pat has distributed over 3000 flyers to the Buckeye school district.  They will be going home to elementary and middle school children this week.  Mary Coyne is taking care of Rescue School District and Suzanne Listar will cover the smaller schools in Placerville and Georgetown.

·         The U11 Boys play in the quarterfinals this coming weekend.  They are the only team representing District VI in the U11 – U13 age groups.

REFEREE COORDINATOR

·         Everything is going smoothly.

SECRETARY

·         Quick update on marketing progress.  Banners are being set up throughout El Dorado County.  11 X 17 posters are available to be put up in local businesses.  Brochures are available to take for distributing.  They are being mailed to all EDYSL registered players this week.  Ads are being placed in the Sacramento Bee, Folsom Telegraph, Cameron Park Life, Mountain Democrat, and Village Life. Shawn Aveningo is setting up a day to pass out brochures and information at the Bel Air in Cameron Park and the Raley’s in Placerville on Sunday, Feb 24th.  Any volunteers would be much appreciated.

FIELD COORDINATOR

·         Tom will be acting as the field coordinator for the remainder of this season for the older teams.  The CSD in El Dorado Hills has taken almost every available slot for the Brooks lighted field.  We are working on getting Lotus field and Tom will work with the teams that need field/light availability.

OLD BUSINESS

·         Next season all coaches will have to fill out the monthly coaching report which details the team practice sessions and game results.   Coaching checks will not be distributed until these reports are turned in.  It will be up to the managers to assist the coach in getting these filled out and turned in on time.

·         Helen reported that next season she would require all team fees to be turned in by the 15th of each month.  This will then allow the coaching checks to be available on the 25th.

·         Helen brought up that she would like to recognize the efforts of past board members.  The board will discuss this further.

NEW BUSINESS

·         As many people have heard, the Knights coaches have been drafted to various indoor teams across the country.  This could affect Tony Sutton and Jeremy Field returning next season.   The board will address backfilling these positions as it becomes necessary.

·         Discussed the idea of having a budget overview to be handed out during tryouts.  This document should also include information about what is provided for the money invested.

·         A question was asked regarding coaching assignments.  Has this been done yet?  Yes, and will be posted on the website soon.

Meeting adjourned at 8:30.
