Meeting
called to order at 7:12 PM at the library at Green Valley School.
The
minutes from the last meeting were reviewed and approved.
·
Henry
reviewed current account balances.
·
To
all team treasurers, please include a copy of your team bank account statement
with your monthly dues check.
·
A
question about corporate sponsorship the money is deposited in the team
account and can be used for monthly dues, equipment costs. It cannot be refunded if refunds remain in
balance.
·
Monthly
dues are due to the club by the 5th of the month. The coaching report is due on the 10th
(for the prior month). The coach is
paid between the 15th to the 20th for the current
month. If the coaching report is not
received, the check will not be mailed.
·
A
quick status of this board position was given to the group.
MANAGERS REPORT:
· Reviewed 2002 budget. Originally planned to have 250 players but actually have 205. New budget is in alignment with this number of participating players.
· EDYSL League Meeting:
· The cost of field use and access was addressed. It was decided as a league, to begin setting funds aside for clubs to allocate and use for teams within our area. The problem is that fees to use current fields is getting higher and higher. If you have any input, please attend the EDYSL monthly meeting which is scheduled for the 4th Tuesday of every month.
· Due to the fact that the EDYSL league meeting is after the EDUCC meeting, information shared is always a month behind. This will be addressed.
· One of the items brought up last month is that all coaches and adults interacting with the players will have to be fingerprinted. This will be something the league will be putting into place next season.
· Discussed fines for the lack of reporting scores.
· Tom attended the Playing League meeting.
· Combine girls 16 and 17 all will play as one division. Schedule should be coming out in August. Its a 10 week playing season. Playing league wants to ensure that there are 12 games per age group. If an age group does not have enough opposing teams to play, there will be a random draw to determine the additional games to fill out the playing league season. These drawn games will also count for the playing league season record.
· Every team must have representation here at the monthly meetings and if there is not advance notice to the club manager of an upcoming absence, then $50.00 will be deducted from the coachs salary.
· Before each coach is paid, the monthly report is to be filled out. These reports will assist the club manager in answering phone calls regarding player issues that a parent or player may have. A suggestion was made to have this available online.
· There are a couple of teams that have not sent in applications for the September tournament. Please ensure that this is done as soon as possible.
· Those attending Jamborees outside of District VI, a form will have to be signed by Brian.
· Goalkeeping training started today from 5:00 7:00 at Ponderosa every Monday. No more than two players per team are to attend. Be sure to bring a soccer ball.
· 2 Game balls will be given to teams for league games. Please arrange for pickup with Henry.

· Looking for fields Herbert Green is available Thursday and Fridays if anyone is interested. U13 or younger teams would be able to use this field.
·
The
fence at Bass Lake Field is supposed to be down by now. Tom is working with CSD on this.
·
No
old business.
·
Does
the club have any policy on practicing in extreme weather conditions either
hot or cold? The club does recommend
that practices be cancelled for temperatures over 100 degrees for U10s and
U11s. You can also check with www.sparetheair.com for air quality.
·
If
a team wants to scrimmage another team, the only concern would be insurance
coverage for use of the field. Just
double check with the club manager for fields in this area, or if the other
team is providing the field, ask to ensure they have covered with insurance.
