Meeting called to order at 7:28 PM at the library at Green Valley School.

Nominations:  Pat Carden has volunteered to be the Field Coordinator, no other nominations.

Referee Coordinator:  No nominations at this time

Winter VP- Nominations Dave Cate, no other nominations – Dave accepts.

Girls VP- Nominated Kyle Sheldon- no other nominations- Kyle accepts.

Registrar-  Nominated- Mary Coyne- no other nominations- Debbie Kitsman will consider the assistant position for this year and take over the job next year.

Secretary-  Nominated Terrie Reis and Assistant Tryout Coordinator  Debbie Kitsman

Manager- Nominated Henry Reis accepted

Henry appointed Tom to be his Assistant Manager

Press Coordinator- Henry would like to appoint

Tournament Coordinator- Kyle would like to be an assistant to Tom and then take over next year and Ray Noorani will assist Kyle    

Boys VP- Volunteered Sue Listar.

TREASURER –  $11000.000 no restricted funds are left all funds have been used for tryouts this year. 

MANAGER’S REPORT-

REGISTRAR-   All teams must have the information together and every team must have a Coach will an E/D license.

GIRL’S V.P..   We will have a 15, 16 and 17-18 Girls teams.  At last D-6 there were   If you were ever at a game and a Grade 9 referee can not do a class 1 game.   They will assume that the fields available will be same as last year.   There is a team that would like to have u14 boys play fall and then U15 in the winter.  This would mean you would have a winter season after the fall season is over.   This will be for both boys and Girls at the 14 level .  There were two teams that were reprimanded

 WINTER V.P not present-.  

Boy’s V.P.   -   . Eveything is quiet.  There is nothing else going on with the 15 and 16’s.  Tom talked with Cliff if they had any players that were being cut, they will notified us.   Tom will call Cliff and get a list of the boys that were cut.    We need 6-7 quality players.  There were only 7 U15 players that were committed.

NEW BUSINESS

Coaches meeting will be held on the 28th of May at 6:00pm at the Round Table in Cameron Park off Coach lane.   The team manager and treasurer will also need to be present

 

League President Brian Frazier- Fundraiser Krispy Cream gets coupon for $10.00 and $5.00 comes back to the team or player. You get 10 dozen donuts when you buy 10 dozen donuts. 

 

Do we want to sponsor the Got Milk 3v3 fundraiser July 27th & 28th,  Cap Valley did the tournament last year and they did make some money but we don’t know how much they made.   CYSA has come to us, but Brian will present this to the League tomorrow night if we are not interested. 

25 positions would be needed for the tournament.   We need name recognition here to the Club and because tryouts were not quite as successful this year it could help next years attendance.  Where would we hold such a tournament.      You are always welcome  at the league meeting.   In coming to the comp club they combined tryouts with select and comp together in the future.   The league bylaws will need to be changed-  It is Brian’s belief that the league is too fragmented.   The possibility to  have from Rec to Competitive tryouts together will be dependant on the clubs working together.  

 

Field Scheduling will be ready for the teams at the Coaches meeting on the 28th.

 

Tom would like to help the person that is interested in Referee Coordinator.   The job would be simplified if there were a person to take the tournament and another take the league play. 

 

Kyle- was interested in getting the embroidered look $15. Polo’s $10.00 t-shirts, and 6.50 for 17-18.   Please pursue the coaching shirts.  $85.00 for the warm-ups

 

Good of the game-  Ponderosa Girls are the Section Champs winning 4-0.
