MANAGER’S REPORT: The league meeting this month was held before our club

Issues of open boundaReis and super clubs. This will affect the select clubs. Oct 24 Tournament Coordinator meeting pizza party on 10/26
5:30-7:30 Straw Hat pizza. Dennis the referee
coordinator would like nominations for Referee of the year. Forms will be given
out at the pizza party. Also
nominations for the Coach of the year will be accepted. District 6 has complaints of the
competitiveness of the parents; it is getting out of control and ugly. The problems are beginning to travel. The team manager will need to control the
parents. If the complaints continue
the league will send out representatives to watch the problems.
Behavior of
the coaches that are not acting appropriately.
Manager need to take control and handle the problems before they become
issues.
Brian may
have some land for fields, but is trying to find out if the owner is willing to
donate a portion of it.
Suggestion
for problem parents: Tootsie pop, written
policy enforced by team manager.
GIRL’S V.P. The U15 girls have a new coach, Iain
Frasier. All postponed/rescheduled
games require both comp manager and team representatives be notified and stay
in contact with the playing league until the game is played.
Red cards
being issues are not being processed quickly enough. Referees should send off the send off report on Saturdays. No passes the players will not be allowed to
play. Spare the Air policy: Confirm the place and location on Wednesday
to limit the amount of unnecessary travel.
U10 games can not be played with nothing less than 3 referees. Field complaints: upper pond was soggy and not wide enough.
WINTER V.P.
Nothing to report no winter teams
Boy’s V.P.

Lotus.

Henry will communicate Tuesday to coordinate Lotus and Christa. No
• Tournament was nice. U18’s venue went great. Not having a complex may have hampered the
turnout. Each team was given the
option to set up the snack bar and sell t-shirts. The goal is to expand the tournament next year, but will we have
the fields. Cherry Island may be an
option for the El Dorado tournament next year @ $100.00 a field per day.
• Kyle Sheldon
had an issue with a center referee that was 14 was refereeing the U15 Girls.
The coordinator confirmed that he was 14 and that the center must be the same
age. The referee coordinator was belligerent
and refused to give the card to Kyle.
The same referee then centered the U16 game that followed. Discussion was that the center referee must
be a minimum of 2 age groups above the team playing.
Competitive
there must be a 3 referee system. If there is not the coach has the right to
“not play”.
• Dave wants Tom to discuss with the
Playing league with non-league game. Do
these non-league games count? Do these
teams have to play these games if they are rescheduled or cancelled?
• No
District Challenge cup this year.
A date
needs to be set for the Parents/coach/player policies to be written volunteers
are: Lance, Kyle, Shawn, Careen, Sue Listar, Terrie, Tom. Date is scheduled
for: Monday November 4 at 7:30 pm Coach Lane Round Table.
Suggestions
for the policy is what should, could and acceptable. Soccer language.
Chris
K. Would like the wording under playing
time “may” rather than “will”. He will
review and comment the policies after they are compiled.
No one can practice on Sunday at Ponderosa.
Team Pictures: The photographer will be given a list with
the Managers names and number, Betsy will set up the times for each team. The club will pay for a team picture. Other pictures will be at the cost of the
parents.
Applications
for State Cup must be received by November 1, by 6:00pm
►From Henry to Managers please inform
the “parents” the only person that should be giving instructions to the
players/coaches during the game. Go,
go, go is also considered coaching from the side-lines. Parents should not be allowed to make
negative comments about players on the field.
