Meeting called to order at 7:15 PM at the library at Green Valley School.  Minutes accepted as written.

 

TREASURERnot present

MANAGER’S REPORT- League meeting 5 people in attendance- Continue to support the High Schools in the area 2 scholarships per school, $500.00 each.    The debate was why donate the money when the schools are not allowing the league to use the fields.   A team may not start practicing until the team coach has received the working rosters to the league registrar.    We currently have no fields available until the second week in May.   Teams should not scrimmage anyone without the medical releases.    The team will be put in bad standings, which will make applying for tournaments difficult.  Next month is the AGM for the Club there are several questions    A coach should attend at least 4 meetings a year, and the team must be represented, if the team is not represented then the team will be fined $50.00 that will be taken from the coaches fees.

REGISTRAR- not present

GIRL’S V.P. -.    It is not required that you attend 2 tryouts.  The playing league/Dist 6 rules are online and should be printed out for going over the new rules.  The tournament to seed the older boys and girls will not be done.   The letter of acceptance

 WINTER V.P not present-.  

Boy’s V.P.   -   .   Pat Carden- U12B were in Dallas did real well played Monterey Mexico and a team from England.   The Crew played 3 games to start then went into the quarter finals.  Dates for ODP on the website are not the same as D6.  A list will be available for the U15B.

TEAM REPORTS- 

OLD BUSINESS:    

 

 

NEW BUSINESS – How did tryouts turn outs for girls- U15 girls had the numbers but about 80% were rec or select players.   13 girls showed up and only 1 was not comp level for the U16G.   12 girls showed up for the U17-18G team.   3-4 U16 Boys showed up.

AGM in May, Field coordinator, Referee coordinator and Secretary are defiantly open, this year we would like to incorporate an Assistant Manager to the Manager and the Girls/Boys VP.     This year the players are going else where because of the open boundaReis.   Henry would like the coaches, managers etc to do what it takes to keep the players and the families happy. 

 

A coaches meeting will be held with each of the coaches prior to the coach’s contracts being given out.   It would be nice to have the team managers present for the meetings as well for the distribution of information.   The time and date will be given to all the team managers.   Tournament meetings will be held monthly, and then they will be every 2 weeks as we get closer.   It is suggested that someone other than the Manager to take the position.  Tom Brown is the tournament Director this year but will be looking to turn the Tournament wand over to someone else.

 

At the next meeting the manager will bring the booklets from last year.    The Club has supported a U10 jamboree for this year

The regular meeting will be held first and then the AGM will be held immediately following.   It is suggested that it be announced to the managers that there be a person that shows up to the meetings.  It is suggested that the treasures, managers, coaches and tournament coordinator attend the meeting.   Or have the Manager attend each meeting and treasurer and tournament coordinator quarterly. 

 

Practice schedules need to be emailed to Henry and once the fields have been confirmed the schedules will be sent out. 

Ray- Can a team take out an advance through the club to apply in advance for tournaments?  Henry said he would look into that and get back to everyone.
