Meeting
called to order at 7:15 PM at the library at Green Valley School.
The
minutes from the last meeting were reviewed and approved.
·
The
treasurer was absent.
MANAGERS REPORT:
· League meeting
· Meeting is scheduled for next week. Nothing new to report since last EDUCC meeting.
· There have been e-mails asking for information regarding the budget. In years past, this information was not well documented. Therefore, putting a budget together for this coming season based on past information has been difficult. At this point, it has been determined that the fees for this year will remain in tact as last year. The $60.00 fee for monthly club fee will remain the same. The registration fee will remain the same also - $100.00, with the second child at $85.00. This year we are considering doing pictures to be included as part of the registration. We will include a team picture for each player and then additional pictures can be purchased as desired. When players drop, we have to ensure that every team is still covering their coaching fees. It is possible that a players monthly club fee may have to increase mid year if players drop and the team coaching fees are unable to be met. A budget will be presented once all of the coaches fees are established along with the number of children are signed up to play.
·
Concerned
that there may not be enough time to pull together a registration night. However, after some discussion, it was
decided to offer a team registration night on Wednesday 4/24, 6:00 9:00. Board members will be present to assist with
any questions. It will be up to each
team manager/coach to communicate this information to their players/parents and
utilize this night if they so choose.
It is also possible for a team to collect and fill out the registration
forms and turn a packet into Mary separately.
Items needed for registration are:
·
Leave
the top of registration form blank
(Mary will fill in with the exception of the Club/Team name which must
be filled in as EDUCC-<team name>)
·
2
small pictures
·
2
copies of birth certificates or copy of Drivers License (cannot take hospital records)
·
The
player name on the birth certificate MUST be the name entered on the form,
exactly the same
·
Check
made out to EDUCC - $100.00 for registration fees. ($85.00 for second player)
·
There
is an adult registration form that every adult has to fill out that will work
with the players. This includes
coaches, assistant coaches, trainers and team managers. These must also be turned in along with the
team packet.
·
For
any players coming from other districts, they must also turn in a player
release form with registration documentation.
·
The
club will arrange to have Miro present from Soccer Locker to take new player
uniform orders. Also, if anyone wants
to order sweats, this would be a good opportunity. As a reminder, the cost of the uniform is below ($127.00):
·
$35
jersey each for two
·
$20
shorts
·
$20
2 pair of socks
·
$8
for numbers/logo
·
Nothing
to report.
GIRLS V.P.
·
The
older tryouts are going well. It
appears that there will be a sixteen-year-old team this year.
WINTER V.P.
·
Dave
reported on the player league meeting:
BOYs V.P.
·
The U15 boys had a good showing, but more players are
needed. There were conflicts with State
Cup that prohibited some potential players from attending. Possibly able to put together a U14 boys
team also.
·
Playing
season is over, but if anyone knows a qualified referee, please notify
Chris.
·
Please
provide information regarding available referees for our club tournament
September 28th and 29th.
·
Nothing
to report.
·
It
may be possible that we will be able to have lights at Ponderosa this
year. There will be some negotiation
such as providing seeds and sand. We
are working on being able to train on the lower and upper field. Cards will be issued which will indicate who
has permission for field use to prevent overbooking of the field and
conflicts. The fee may also be reduced
based upon the past contributions that EDUCC has provided to the school. Also, at the clubs request, they will line
the field for us.
·
No
old business.
·
Suzanne
distributed a brochure from EuroSoccer if anyone is interested. The general discussion was that this is a
good camp for younger players (U10).
·
What
is the rule on players requesting to play up?
In the past, it has been a board policy that playing up is frowned upon
for U14 and younger. As a U15 and up,
players are considered more of a free agent.
However, the board will discourage coaches to recruit players to their
team.
Meeting
adjourned at 8:35.
